After weeks of intensive training, strategy and coaching sessions in the Event Business School program, we’re pleased to present Mary, of Deheritage Events a stand-out graduate of the school.
In today’s magazine issue, we’d be delving into Mary’s experience in the Event Business School; her highs, lows and most importantly her advice for the next cohort.

“I can boldly say that in the 3rd week of EBS I was able to design a good structure for my brand”
Q: Hello! Can we meet you?
A: My name is Fasola Mary, Lead planner, Deheritage Events and I’ve been in business for 5yrs
Q: Describe the woman that came into EBS and the woman stepping out.
A: I came into EBS with the zeal to become the very best version of myself and also to gain more knowledge that will help me channel the right energy into my business.
The fact is that I knew what I wanted but then how do I strategize? Fear of the unknown. But I can boldly say that before the end of the 3rd week in EBS, I was able to design a good structure for my brand.
Q: What are the things you have been procrastinating but being in EBS has helped you take action?
A: So many things have been hanging and left undone (Professional Bio, how to design a detailed mood board, vendors contract etc) all thanks to EBS and my accountability partner I was able to do them all.
Q: How has being in EBS made you a better planner to prospective clients?
A: Being a part of EBS has been instrumental in making me realize my worth (I mean the value I’m adding to your event as you hire me as your event planner) because I have been equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to deliver a flawless event.
Q: Why was it important for you to join EBS?
A: Joining EBS, I was a lady with a vision who didn’t know how to strategize or work it out to reality.
But now I can boldly say after the 6 weeks training and the crystal clear class I was able to sit and channel my energy into the right direction that will help me towards achieving my plans.
Q: In EBS, we had an assignment of writing 750 words daily. How did this help you?
A: This has really helped me in adding captions to my instagram posts and also helped me write ebooks.
Q: What difference have you noticed from optimizing your page? If you were a visitor to your page, would you find it captivating enough to stay?
A: Yessss, I’ve witnessed a significant transformation after optimizing my page. It’s now more beautiful and captivating than ever before.
Through carefully curated content, behind-the-scenes videos, and informative posts, I’ve aimed to create a dynamic platform. As a visitor, I’m confident you’d find the page not only captivating but also filled with valuable insights.
From engaging visuals to educational content for couples-to-be, it’s a space where every aspect is designed to leave a lasting impression and provide meaningful content.
“Realizing my self worth is a big breakthrough for me”
Q: What key things did you learn from the Marketing Module? If you have implemented some, what has been your experience so far?
A: This has helped me understand and identify the needs of my prospective clients and how to target my ideal audience.
Q: Of all the templates shared, which have you found to be a DIAMOND?
A: Vendors contract: this has been a life saver and also makes me more professional while dealing with vendors. My vendors and clients will definitely be wowed by the level of professionalism. With my clients, they’ll definitely know they’ve got value for what they paid for.
Q: I believe you came into EBS with expectations? Were they met?
A: Yes, my expectations were met.
Q: As a senior EBS tribe, what advice would you give to the next set of EBS tribe?
A: Never relent in pursuing your dream. EBS has helped me gain self realization and also to place value on my worth.

EBS has been instrumental in helping me realize that I bring great value as an Event planner. I am now fully equipped with knowledge to execute a seamless event.
