The Event Business School 1.0 by Planners Hack – a 6-week business strategy and accountability group for event planners – had 17 event planners in the program, Marian Ebe of Bedazzled Events being one of them.
Introducing savvy planner, Mariam Ebe of Bedazzled Events, who recently completed her 6 weeks program in Event Business School.
After weeks of intensive training, strategy and coaching sessions in the Event Business School program, we’re pleased to present Marian, of Bedazzled Events as a stand-out graduate of the school.
In today’s magazine issue, we’d be delving into Marian’s experience in the Event Business School; her highs, lows and most importantly her advice for the next cohort.

“My event business is a lot easier because of the simplified processes and structure EBS provided me”
Q: Hello! Can we meet you?
A: Hello. My name is Marian Ebe. I help individuals and organizations create amazing and fun event experiences through Bedazzled Eventsng, and I help Event professionals build and amplify their personal brand.
Q: Describe the woman that came into EBS and the woman stepping out.
A: The woman that came in- Good at what she does, confident, audacious, ambitious but lacked structure.
The woman stepping out- Oh! Her event business is a lot easier, processes simplified and transferable because she’s learnt structure at EBS.
Q: What are the things you have been procrastinating but being in EBS has helped you take action?
A: Building simplified structure and setting up transferable processes.
Q: How has being in EBS made you a better planner to prospective clients?
A: Clients don’t even know how lucky they are. Their event process has gotten a whole lot detailed and as easy as ABC.
“EBS truly had all I had searched for!”
Q: Why was it important for you to join EBS?
A: Joining EBS was important to me because I knew I had to give more to my clients. I knew I needed to raise the bar of my event business.
I knew mediocrity was not my place and so I had to seek further knowledge through EBS. EBS had all that I searched for.
Q: While working on the lead magnet what were your major highlights?
A: Hmmmm…. that lead magnet ehn…. gotta be the magic.
Q: How did you feel showing up on your first Instagram LIVE?
A: I had my first Instagram some years ago, and a couple more after that. I think I always have the butterflies riot everytime, but once I’m on live, I feel more relaxed.
Q: In EBS, we had an assignment of writing 750 words daily. How did this help you?
A: Tremendously.
Q: I believe you came into EBS with expectations? Were they met?
A: EBS was beyond my expectations.
Q: What key things did you learn from the Marketing Module? If you have implemented some, what has been your experience so far?
A: In summary, the book “CONTAGIOUS” is a must read for every business owner. Recommending the book to us at EBS and the discussions helped with my marketing a lot.
Q: Of all the templates shared, which have you found to be a DIAMOND?
A: All the templates are valuable, the soft life bundle is a HIT!.
Q: As a senior EBS tribe, what advice would you give to the next set of EBS tribe?
A: As a senior I would advise: do not miss your modules if it is a live class. Take your tasks seriously.
You’ll be doing yourself a lot of disservice if you don’t. Implement! Implement!! Implement!!!
Q: Any Final words?
Event Business School met my expectations and beyond. It feels so good to be able to unlearn and relearn a whole lot about the ever evolving event industry. Thank you coach Dami!
