By Planners Hack

The Event Business School 1.0 by Planners Hack – a 6-week business strategy and accountability group for event planners – had 17 event planners in the program, Morayo Robertson of Marray Events being one of them.

Introducing savvy planner, Morayo Robertson of Marray Events, who recently completed her 6 weeks program in Event Business School.

After weeks of intensive training, strategy and coaching sessions in the Event Business School program, we’re pleased to present Morayo, of Marray Events as a stand-out graduate of the school.

In today’s magazine issue, we’d be delving into Morayo’s experience in the Event Business School; her highs, lows and most importantly her advice for the next cohort.

You’d get to read her experience, see behind the hurray as she takes you behind the scene. Let’s dive right in!

“I joined Event Business School to learn about structure and I can say, I learnt that and more.”

Q: Hello! Can we meet you?

A: My name is Rayo Robertson the lead planner of Marray Events. I’ve been in business officially for 6 years now.

Q: Describe the woman that came into EBS and the woman stepping out.

A: I came into EBS with an open mind to learn more about structure and modern marketing. I can say I learnt that and a whole lot.

I’ve become more intentional about my personal & future goals as regards my business. I’m that planner you’ll meet and say where have you been all my life *giggles*.

Q: What are the things you have been procrastinating but being in EBS has helped you take action?

A: I’ll say finetuning my process. Documenting it from start to finish as opposed to knowing it alone has made it save time.

Q: How has being in EBS made you a better planner to prospective clients?

A: Extremely lucky to have me. I’m a planner that considers their values and puts their best interest at heart. I pay attention to the little things, listen to them and give clarity.

Q: Why was it important for you to join EBS?

A: I’ll say well done. You took a great step in the right direction and obeyed regardless of it all.

Q: How did you feel showing up on your first Instagram Live?

A: This is a work in progress for me at this time.

Q: While working on the lead magnet what were your major highlights?

A: My designs and email marketing.

Q: We had an assignment of writing 750 words daily. How did this help you?

A: I loved it as it brought back memories of the journey thus far.

Q: What difference have you noticed from optimizing your page?

A: Yes I would, it’s taking shape already.

Q: Of all the templates shared, which have you found to be a DIAMOND?

A: The templates are rock solid. I’ll say the process templates and the monthly projections are my DIAMONDS. They remind me of my 9-5 marketing days.

Q: What key things did you learn from the Marketing Module?

A: I’ll say Client avatar, lead magnet and making better use of canva.

Q: I believe you came into EBS with expectations? Were they met?

A: As earlier stated I came to EBS with an open mind knowing fully well it will be value packed. The drilling was unexpected though lol but I loved every bit of it.

Like the saying goes “nothing good comes easy” you have to put in the work to get desired results.

Q: As a senior EBS tribe, what advice would you give to the next set of EBS tribe?

A: Senior EBS triber na your mate lol…on a serious note, clear your schedule!!! Like eat, sleep, and wake up on EBS.

Might not be easy but just put that in mind before joining and while on course.

“Like the saying goes, nothing good comes easy.”

Q: Any Final words?

EBS has helped me finetune my brand and I am most grateful. I would say joining EBS wasn’t a coincidence because every expectation I had was met. Thank you coach Dami.
