For Event Planners: How to Create Carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn

Carousel posts, featuring multiple views, are swiped through by viewers, and are a dynamic way to tell a story, showcase your expertise, or promote a product.

But how do you create carousels that resonate with your audience on both Instagram and LinkedIn?

Buckle up, because we’re about to unveil the secrets!

Crafting Compelling Carousels:

  • Plan Your Narrative:  Before diving in, determine the story you want to tell. Will it be a step-by-step guide, a product showcase, or an inspirational quote with visuals?
  • Visual Appeal is King (or Queen): Use high-quality images or videos that are visually cohesive and relevant to your theme. Consider using consistent color palettes, editing styles, and fonts across the slides.
  • Keep it Concise: Attention spans are short! Aim for concise text overlays and clear calls to action on each slide.
  • Intrigue with the First Slide: The first slide should grab attention and entice viewers to swipe for more. Use a captivating image, a bold question, or a surprising piece of information.
  • Call to Action: End your carousel with a clear call to action, whether it’s visiting your website, contacting you, or following your page.

Instagram vs. LinkedIn: Tailoring Your Approach

  • Instagram: Embrace a playful and creative vibe. Utilize emojis, trending hashtags, and interactive elements like polls or quizzes.
  • LinkedIn: Maintain a professional tone but showcase your personality. Use relevant industry keywords, show your expertise, and prioritize informative content.
