The Event Business School 1.0 by Planners Hack – a 6-week business strategy and accountability group for event planners – had 17 event planners in the program, Mansurah of Twin Event Decor being one of them.

Introducing savvy planner, Mansurah who recently completed her 6 weeks program in Event Business School. Her journey through the program was one of dedication, and a passion for the art of planning.

In today’s feature, we warmly invite you into Mansurah’s incredible experience at the Event Business School 1.0, her highs and lows most importantly things that she wished she knew before joining the program.

Q: Hello! Can we meet you ?

A: Mansurah Shobulo – Adebambo of Twin Event Business, 6 years. 

Q: Describe the woman that came into EBS and the woman stepping out.

A: I was running a glorified hobby all the while, I wanted to put structure into my business and attract the right clients. All thanks to EBS for the structure and awesome training. I can conveniently charge my worth and meet my money goals for the year. 

Q: What are the things you have been procrastinating but being in EBS has helped you take action?

A: Content creation. I’m always confused on what to post, how to post. I have also been procrastinating on my process timeline and contract but being in EBS changed all that.

Q: How has being in EBS made you a better planner to prospective clients?

A: I have the standard operating procedure for my new client, they should be rest assured that they are getting the best service from me. We now have the best event process streamline just for them, we have contract agreements for all vendors with amazing content creation coined to suit their event. 

Q: Why was it important for you to join EBS?

A: If you are determined to be successful in your career, you will need to learn the necessary skill that will help you scale to achieve your goals and there is nothing wrong in failing or falling in your previous business but there is everything wrong with falling and not wanting to rise again, so dear rise and blossom.

Q: How did you feel showing up on your first Instagram LIVE?

A: I feel good doing my IG live, the fear of what to talk about, etc. but after all the training I had at EBS, I was confident all through my Instagram live and I realize that I actually have a lot share, watch out for more InstaLIVES session from me.

Q: While working on the lead magnet what were your major highlights?

A: My highlight was getting clear about serving Muslims and doing free content to set the new goal in motion. 

Q: We had an assignment of writing 750 words daily. How did this help you?

A: This has really stretch my writing skills and meeting deadline target and I’m glad to have out my best during those times. 

Q: What difference have you noticed from optimizing your page?

A: Page optimization really helped me, now I know the right content to put on my page. It is not all jobs that has to go on my page, if I don’t want to attract that kind of client then I don’t have to post it.

Q: Of all the templates shared, which have you found to be a DIAMOND? 

A: Process planning template and package template. This template makes my work easy and seamless. I used to feel scared to put a price on my work due to misguided compassion or thinking about people couldn’t afford it. Creating packages for each demography of clients has changed all that, all thanks to the complimentary templates shared.

Q: What key things did you learn from the marketing module 

A: Marketing module is one of the reason I joined EBS, I learned a whole lot but I am a work in progress and I look forward to revisiting the replays and making time to implement much more strategies taught.

“I knew EBS was for me from the day I saw the advert, I wanted templates so badly to ease my work and YES I got them. I was also looking forward to the mood board template class and I’m glad to have learn how to create mood board myself”

Q: Any final words?

A: A huge thank you to Coach D for giving us even more than expected in the Event Business School. She doesn’t hold on to knowledge at all. She gives her all and it’s a pleasure to have her as a coach!
